Clyde Custer Whitt, 82, widower of the late Donna Rumsey Whitt, of 1067 Pine Top Rd, Belton died Sunday, March 31, 2024, at his residence.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late O.B. and Sarah York Whitt. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He served in the US Army National Guard. After retiring from textiles, he was fondly known for working part-time for Gus’s home center in Belton.
Surviving are: Daughters; Tricia Brandt (Michael) of Williamston, Heather Whitt of Belton; Grandchildren; Lauren Brandt, Reece Brandt, Anna (Zac) Cowart, and Presley Whitten; Sister, Mammie Rogers.
He was preceded in death by Sisters, Louise Gillespie and Mary Lowe.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 12:30PM until 1:45PM.
Memorials may be made to Anderson County P.A.W.S.
The family will be at the residence.
