Rachel (Miller) Buffington

Rachel Miller Buffington, 90, widow of Robert Buffington, of 276 Pine top Rd. died Monday, March 5, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Alma Cummings Miller. She was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church for 50 years.

Surviving are: daughter, Rose Cureton (Hal) of Anderson; brother, Leroy Miller; sisters, Janie Fant and Sylvia Vaughn, grandchildren, Eric Cureton, Rhonda Buffington, and Heather Jones; 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Terry Buffington; brother, James and Demris Miller and grandson, Geoffery Buffington.

Service will be held 3pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Clardy officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 1:45pm until 2:45pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The family will be at their respective homes.
