Robert Jay Horton, 83, widower of Marie Annette Aumick Horton of 724 Herman Brooks Rd., died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Pine Valley NY, he was the son of the late Walter James Horton Sr. and Vivian Green Horton. He served in the US Navy, retired as a NY State Corrections Officer, worked for Simms Appliance Service and was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are: sons, Daniel Horton and James Horton (Laura) both of Belton and Wayne Horton (Lori) of Horseheads, NY; daughter, Charlotte Jones (Steve) of Belton; brother, Walter J. Horton, Jr. of Loundesville; sisters, Joyce Van Zile of Mill Port, NY and Mary Bauman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Horton and his daughter, Polly Horton.
Graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday at Belton Cemetery with Dr. Ron Fousek officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Center.
The family will be at the residence.
