Edna “Teen” Ashley Brewer, 87, formerly of Belton, died Thursday March 21, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Anderson.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Rosa Lee Brock Ashley.  She loved people and enjoyed making others laugh, her enjoyments in life were cooking, gardening, and sharing both with her friends and loved ones. She was a member of the Silver Circle and a member of Pentecostal Church of Belton.

Surviving are: Daughters, Teena Marie (Jerry) Owens of Seneca; Frances Poore of Anderson; Beverly Switz of Belton; Grandson, Jay Owens; Granddaughter, Siena Poore; Great Grandsons, Ethan and Everett Owens; Many Nephews and Nieces; Honorary family member Katherine “Kat” Galloway.

She was preceded in death by Daughter, Shirley Switz; Brothers, James, Edgar, and Maxie Ashley; Sisters, Mary Ouzts, and Sible Ashley.

The family will receive family and friends prior to service Sunday, March 24 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Cox Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday March 24 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Smith.

Burial will be held 1:00pm Monday, March 25 at Greenville Memorial Gardens Rev. Ralph Ashley officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.

Cox Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
