William Ray Posey, 76, Husband of Ann Davies Posey, of 8 Woodward St. Belton died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Linley Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Charles Ray and Francis E Pruitt Posey. He was a member of Belton Church of God Prophecy and was retired from Belton Industries.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: Son, Michael Posey (Denise) of Iva; Grandchild, Brandy Haynes of Honea Path; Great Grandchildren, Jake Smith and Hannah Smith; Step-Granddaughter, Jessica Brown.

He was preceded by first wife Elizabeth “Sue” Posey.

Family will be receiving friends from 1pm to 2:45pm prior to service at Cox Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3pm Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

The family will be at the home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to Belton Church of God Prophecy.
