Dale Armstrong Owens

Dale Armstrong Owens, 87, of Belton, SC, died Saturday, November 10, 2019 at NHC Healthcare of Anderson. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joann Taylor Owens of Belton; daughters Joni Dale Owens of Anderson, Jill Ann Owens Smith (Joe Barilovits) of Greenville, and Jana Owens Kelly (Brian) of Palos Verdes, CA; grandchildren Michael Steve Morrison (Kelly), Matthew Henry Morrison (Jennifer), Austin Owens Kelly and William Sanderson Kelly, sister Nancy Ann Owens of Greenville, and four great-grandsons. 

Born in Belton, he was the son of the late William Sanford Owens and Nancy Armstrong Owens.  He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War Era.  

Graveside service will be held at 3pm Thursday at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Dr. Kirk Mitchell officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Anderson. 

The family will be at the residence in Belton.
