Hazel Whiten LeCroy Lollis, 89, widow of Albert Jackson “Pete” Lollis of 16724 Brown Ave. Ext., died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jolly and Rilla Canady Whiten. She was a homemaker and a member of Dorchester Baptist Church where she was part of the Greeting Committee and a former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by: sons, Ted LeCroy (Tara) and James “Jimmy” Lollis (Olarah); daughter, Cathy Frosh(Arno); 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Jackson LeCroy, Jr.; son, Bobby LeCroy; brothers, George, Harold and John Whiten; sisters, Eva Morris and Brenda Brown.
Service will be held 1pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Allen and Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 11:45am until 12:45pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate or Dorchester Baptist Church.
