Tommy Eugene Alewine

Tommy Eugene Alewine, 81, widower of Sylvia Ailene Alewine of Belton died Friday, May 11, 2018 at NHC HealthCare of Anderson. Born in Due West, he was the son of the late Waymon Bell and Ruth Stone Alewine. He was a member of Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church but he attended Beech Springs Church. He was a US National Guard Veteran. Surviving are: daughters, Martha Browning (Erwin) of Williamston, and Sheila Sears (Paul) of Anderson; grandchildren, Alexis Sears, Elyse Browning, and Michael Browning. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Patrick Browning. Graveside service will be held at 11am Tuesday at Belton Cemetery with Eric Boggs and Dr. Tony Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beech Springs Church, Rainey Hospice House, or Caris Hospice. The family will be at their respective homes. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
