Andrea Paulette (Shirley) Owens

Andrea Paulette Shirley Owens, 80, widow of the late Calvin Douglas Owens, resident of Marchbanks Ave., formerly of Belton, entered into rest Tuesday October 31, 2023 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Born on August 22, 1943 in Belton to the late John Frank and Hattie Ruth Timms Shirley, she was a graduate of Belton High School, Anderson College, and Lee College, earning her Bachelor’s Degree. She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano for 50 years.

She was a member of High Praises Church of God, the Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity, and the American College of Musicians Piano Guild.

Surviving is a daughter, Keri Faith Owens-Wishart and husband Rob of Belton; her brother, Dr. Delron Shirley and wife Peggy of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Sean Joseph Owens, Justin Luke Owens and wife McKenzie.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 PM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Delron Shirley and Pastor Chris Sustar officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rob Wishart, Sean Owens, Justin Owens, Keith Gurley, Timothy Riddle, and Carlin Lusk.

The family is at their respective homes.
