Arbe Evans, Jr., 85, resident of Trail Road, died Monday July 5, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on March 26, 1936 in Anderson County to the late Arbe Sr., and Margie Dickerson Evans, he was a high school graduate and served in the United States Army. He retired from Goodman Conveyor as a Machinist.
He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sisters, Bessie Clark (Frank), and Peggy Lowie (Milford), all of Belton; his nieces, Landis Riddle (Jon) of Honea Path, Teresa Lowie, Beth Cook (Shawn), all of Belton; his nephew, James Lowie (Tracy) of Honea Path; 3 great nieces, 7 great nephews, 1 great great niece, and 3 great great nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Sudie Bell Evans, Mary Lou Evans, and Bonnie Lee Evans, and his brothers, James Logan Evans, Dewey Evans, and Billy Evans.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM from Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Tracey Clements and Rev. Hulan Bryant officiating. Burial with military honors will follow.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the church.
