 Arthur William Trangmar, 74, husband of Lavonne TerBeek Trangmar, resident of Brookforest Dr., passed away peacefully into his Heavenly Fathers arms Sunday June 13, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House. 

Born on July 23, 1946 in Dearborn MI, to the late Burt Trangmar and the late Florence Moore, he served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1966 to 1969 in Vietnam. He moved to Belton in 1983. He was the co-owner of Faith Christian daycare with his wife for over 40 years and was a beloved BHP high school bus driver for over 21 years. He loved his family and his country. 

A faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, as an ordained minister, he loved the Bible and ministered to everyone who came in contact with him, especially in his Prison Ministry. He had a gift of memorization of the Bible. 

Surviving other than his wife of 50 years, of the home, are his children, Traci Trangmar Phillips ( Dale, Jr.) of Pelzer, Scott William Trangmar (Sharon) of Greenville, Patricia Trangmar Sosebee (Mike) of Anderson, James “Jamie” Anthony Trangmar (Kimberly) of Honea Path, and Arthur William Trangmar, Jr. (Amanda) of Franklin, NC; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Lauren, Noah, Silas, Samatha, Stephanie, Andrew, Jacob, Nicolle, Kylee, Jeramy, Tyler, Parker, Emma, Allie, and Cooper; his sister, LeeAnn Wurts; his brother, Walt Moore (Patty). He was predeceased by a sister and a brother. 

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, at 6:00 PM from Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Trangmar and Rev. Earl Green officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery. 

The family is at the home and will receive friends, Thursday from 4:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.

Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd. Anderson, SC 29621 or to Calvary Baptist Church, 6105 Belton Hwy., Belton SC 29627.
