Austin Eugene Wicker, 76, husband of Michiko Uchiyama Wicker of 114 Elm St., died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Robert and Susie Roper Wicker. He served in the US Navy and retired as store manager of Bi-Lo after 31 years. He was Past Master Mason with Ruff Lodge 240 in Anderson and a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: son, Dennis Wicker (Carol) of San Diego; daughter, Tippi Wicker Upton (Jody) of Latta; grandchildren, Haley and Karli Upton, Austin Wicker and Brandon Booth.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Wooten, Eloise Shaw and Joyce Bryant.

Service will be held 4pm Sunday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Blank officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2pm until 3:45pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be held 10am Monday at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association or American Cancer Society.

The family will be at the residence.
