Barbara Jackie Fagg Martin, 72, widow of the late John Vincent Martin, resident of Hwy. 413, went home to Glory Sunday January 30, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on February 10, 1949 in Anderson to the late Jack and Margie Hawkins Fagg, she earned her Masters in Elementary Education and was a School Teacher for many years.

A member of Long Branch Baptist Church, she enjoyed singing in the choir, working with the children and especially helping with the children’s plays. She was the choir director at Hillcrest Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of the South Carolina Educators Association.

Surviving are her children, William “Derek” Martin and wife Kim, and Robert “Jason” Martin and wife Casey, all of Anderson; her grandchildren, Luke Martin and wife Cassidy, Levi Martin, Jairus Martin, Madison Martin, and Jaylen Martin; her brother, Robert “Bob” Fagg and wife Bebe; her sisters, Vicki Spoon, Mary Jane Sartain and husband David, and Polly Kay and husband Joel; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Caleb Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM from Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Clarence Adkins officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Wednesday Evening from 5 to 7 pm at Cox Funeral Home.
