Barbara (Major) Wright

Barbara Major Wright, 87, wife of Franklin C. Wright, Sr. for 72 years, of Bethany Baptist Church Rd. died Friday, November 5, 2021, at her residence.

Born in Belton, she was the daughter of the late Luther Jackson and Ethel Ozella Ashley Major. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: sons, Steve Major Wright, and Franklin Wright, Jr. (Debbie) all of Belton; daughters, LaDonna Wright (Michael) of Belton, and Jackie Scogins (Eddie) of Iva; brother, Dan Major (Jo); sister, Joyce Gambrell (Doug); 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Major, and Ray Major, and sister, Kay Davenport.

Service will be held 2pm Monday at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. DeWayne Evans, Rev. Carroll Plemmons, and Rev. Tim Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6pm until 8pm at Cox Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home.
