Barry Ray Treadwell

Barry Ray Treadwell, 59, resident of Shady Grove Road, entered into rest Friday August 11, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on March 11, 1964 to Barbara Jo Acker Treadwell and the late Billy Ray Treadwell, he was a graduate of BHP High School and Greenville Technical College. He worked at KFC from age 16, and made it to General Manager. He was currently employed at NHC-Anderson in Food Services.

He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where he served on the Decorating Committee. He was a member of the Antique Clock Club and enjoyed working on clocks. Many people in the community would bring their clocks for him to fix.

Surviving other than his mother of Honea Path is a sister, Ginger Treadwell Alewine and husband Larry of Honea Path; his brother, Anthony Wayne Treadwell of Honea Path; his nephew, Derek Alewine and wife Julia of Belton; cousins and numerous special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM from Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Cox and Rev. Daryl Hawthorne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his mother Barbara Treadwell.
