Billy Ray Lollis, 84, husband of Betty Lee Hembree Lollis, resident of Sherwood Dr., died Thursday November 11, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on July 8, 1937 in Anderson County to the late Adolphus Lollis and the late Irene Branyon Lollis Welborn, he attended Ford Motor Company Technical School in Charlotte, and was the owner of Lollis Garage for many years, he loved working on cars and caring for his farm animals. He was just a simple country boy.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving other than his wife of 66 years, of the home, are his children, Danny Lollis (Cathy), Wayne Lollis (Heather) both of Belton, and Sherry Fuller (John) of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Tony Lollis, Dusty Lollis (Heather), Adam Lollis (Jessica), Matthew Fields, Kayla Thomas, Caleb Hilley (Taylor), Casey Ashley, and Cody Lollis; his sister, Shelby Finley; 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Ranny Lollis, 2 grandchildren, Amanda Fields and Jason Lollis, 2 brothers, Junior Lollis and Larry Welborn.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Phillips and Rev. James Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Belton City Cemetery.
The family is at the home of Danny and Cathy Lollis and will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
