Carolyn Jean (Masters) Shaw

Carolyn Jean Masters Shaw, 84, widow of the late Bill Shaw, resident of Cooley Bridge Rd., entered into rest Sunday November 19, 2023 at the residence of her son surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 29, 1939 in Greenville County to the late John Tillman and Bonnie Slatten Masters, she was retired from Carolina Blouse. She enjoyed flowers, yard sales and she loved to cook.

A member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, she served on the Ladies Kitchen Committee.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Ray Whitten (Tanisha Bradley) of Fountain Inn, Susan Rena Garrett (David) of Powdersville, and Cindy Alexander of Greer; her brother, Norman Masters (Patsy): her grandchildren, Brandi Smith (Robbie), Lance McSweeney (Melissa), Neal Whitten (Amanda), Christopher Alexander (Megan), and Jessica McSweeney; 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, James Tillman Masters, John Masters, and Truman Masters, her sisters, Margie Coker, Maggie Lou Phillips, Agnes McCuen, Virginia Kelly, Evelyn Knight, and Ruth Templeton, a grandson Nicholas.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. David Cox and Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home.
