Greenwood
Clyde Fisher, Jr., 88, widower of the late Eugenia “Jeannie” Burton, resident of E. Cambridge Ave., entered into rest Saturday August 26, 2023 at NHC-Greenwood.
Born on June 23, 1935 in Possum Kingdom to the late Clyde Peck and Ida Jordan Fisher, he was a welder for many years. He enjoyed dancing, hunting and fishing.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Donnie C. Fisher and wife Robin of Iva, Steve E Fisher and Joey Fisher both of Anderson, Brian Burton and wife Karen of Marietta; his brother, Joe Fisher; his grandchildren, Mitzi Scarbourgh, Katrina Belk, Eddie McConnell, Kim Cross, Landon Fisher, Stephanie Fisher, Lindsay Fisher, Steven Fisher, Adam Burton, and Jaime Waddell; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, at 1:00 PM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Waller officiating. Private burial will follow at the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
