Clyde Lee Thomas

Clyde Lee Thomas, 89, husband of Martha Chapman Thomas, resident of Lakeside Dr., died Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 17, 1932 in Fair Play to the late R N and Gladys Leathers Thomas, he was retired from the City of Belton. He was an avid fisherman, and a big time gardener. He loved his Clemson Tigers.

He was a member of Alive Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, of the home; his children, Ronnie Thomas and wife Louise of Honea Path, Betty Kelly and husband Wayman, and Darlene Meeks and husband Randy, all of Belton; his brother, Bill Thomas; his sisters, JoAnn Lowe and Judy Morgan; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jim Thomas, Don Thomas, and Jake Thomas, and his sisters, Evelyn Thomas and Dottie Mae Pate.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM from the Garden of Memories with Rev. Roger Burden officiating.

The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road Anderson, SC 29621.
