Belton

David Thomas Epting, 64, died Monday, June 7 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Thomas P. and Retha Amick Epting. He was a graduate of Gupton- Jones College where he received his degree in Mortuary Science and Embalming and Tri-County Tech. He was a Funeral Director with Cox Funeral Home for more than 30 years, and Manager of the Garden of Memories for 30 years. He was a member and former Elder at Belton Presbyterian Church.  

Surviving him are Brother, William Lewis (Cyndy) Epting of Belton, Nephew, Dr. John Thomas (Rebekah) Epting of Birmingham AL and Niece, Susan Elizabeth (JJ) Lies of Spartanburg, Great Nieces: Rosia Epting and Jamisyn Lies

Services will be held 11:00 Wednesday June 9th at Garden of Memories with Pastor Sarah Cornell officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at his brother’s residence 304 Carroll Ln Belton, SC

Memorials can be made to Belton Presbyterian or Hospice of the Upstate.
