David Jefferson Johnson

David Jefferson Johnson, 74, husband of Betty Gillespie Johnson of 55 Chickasaw Lane died Friday, June 5, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Belton, he was the son of the late Jeff and Lonnie Vaughn Johnson. He was a member of American Legion and a US Army Veteran.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: sons, Jerry Lee Johnson (Kelly) of Anderson, and Terry Lee Johnson of Arden, NC; sister, Ella Mae Gambrell of Honea Path; grandchildren, Kayla Burbury, Jurnee Collins, Jeffery Johnson and Jacob Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Johnson; sisters, Annie Ruth Mitchell, Frances Barrett, Emma Jane Prince, and Martha Hughes.

Graveside service will be held 11am Thursday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.

The family will receive friends and have a memorial service following at 2pm at Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church Thursday.
