David James Smith

David James Smith, 50, resident of Mahaffey St., died Sunday May 3, 2020 at his residence.

Born December 1, 1969 in Greenville to James Ray Smith and the late Janette Turner Smith, he was a machine operator at Champion Tool & Die. He was a member of First Baptist Church Belton.

Surviving other than his father and stepmother Edna Smith of Iva, are his children, DJ Smith (Haley) of Greenville, and Taya Smith of Belton; his brother, Steven Smith (Nicole) of Anderson. He was predeceased by his mother Janette Turner Smith and his twin brother, Daniel Ray Smith.

Private graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelzer with Rev. Dale Cross officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to River Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center 2906 Geer Hwy. Marietta, SC 29661.
