Dorothy Hopkins Whitfield, 79, wife of Larry Dean Whitfield, Sr., resident of River St., entered into rest Thursday April 20, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born on July 10, 1943 in Anderson to the late Elbert Lee and Lois Hopkins, she attended Anderson County Schools and retired from Ingles.
She was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and attended Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving other than her loving husband of 51 years, of the home, are her sons, John Gregory Whitfield and Larry David Whitfield and wife Felicia, all of Belton; her grandchildren, Skyler, Gage, Drake, Analeece, Brice, Blayke Whitfield and Emmett Vaughn. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being predeceased by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 PM from the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Sam Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
