Dr. William Fred Keown,87, husband of Rosemary Powell Keown, of 208 Trail Rd Belton died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Albert James and Annie Mae Raines Keown.

He was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church in Honea Path, and he was a well-known Chiropractor in Belton for many years before retiring. He also loved to be a jack of all trades.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: 6 sons, William Fred Jr (Gail) Keown of Pawley’s Island, Russell (Ashley) Keown of Columbia, Joel (Dora) Keown of Honea Path, Bradley (Susan) Keown of Honea Path, Paul (Lisa) Keown of Belton, and David (Ashley) Keown of Honea Path; 6 daughters, Alicia Keown of Belton, Kim (Jay) Smith of Belton, Tammy (Leonard) Blackwell of Honea Path, Miriam (Wesley) Dove of Anderson, Julie (Mark) Skelton of Iva, and Mary Catherine (Bob) Allen of Belton; 46 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers Jim and Robert Keown and 2 sisters Betty Hendrix and Doris Lesley.

Services will be held 11:00 Am Saturday at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev Dennis Barden officiating. Burial will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday at Cox Funeral Home.
