BELTON
Ellen “Louise” Griffin Hobby, 90, widow of the late John Lee Hobby, resident of Brown St., died Sunday March 7, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Greenville County on December 12, 1930 to the late Lee and Claudia Knight Griffin, she was a homemaker.
She was one of the oldest members of Belton Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are her children, David Hobby (Jamie) of Abbeville, Thelma Calvert (William) of Belton, and Kathy Koch (Rod) of Pendleton. 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 children, James Timothy “Bo” Hobby and Joannie Hobby, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday from Belton Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Jay Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Koch, Shane Hobby, Avery Calvert, Josiah Jarrard , Justus Jarrard, Sam Byrum, and Brison King.
