Elmer Ludy Kelly, 79, husband of Betty Sue Epps Kelly, resident of Newry Road, died Friday February 5, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Anderson County on August 3, 1941 to the late George R., and Ruby Estelle Kelly Kelly, he was a Supervisor at Goodman Conveyor for many years. He was a simple man that loved his family.
He was a faithful member of Cross Hill Church of God where he formerly served as Sunday School Superintendent and on the Finance Committee.
Surviving other than his wife of 59 years, of the home, are his sons, Elmer Allen Kelly and wife Adrian, Robert Mark Kelly, John David Kelly and wife Jeanette, and Timothy Scott Kelly and wife Dawn all of Belton; his brothers, Alvin Kelly of Honea Path and Joe Kelly of Belton; his sister, Margie Adams of Belton; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Sue Kelly, grandsons, Christopher Allen Kelly and Colt Randall Jennings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM from Cross Hill Church of God with Rev. Larry Richardson and Scott Burdette officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing is required at all events.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Cross Hill Church of God, 1703 Hwy 252, Belton, SC 29627.
