Frances Traynham Loftis, 89, widow of the late James R. Loftis, resident of Harris Ave., died Thursday September 3, 2020 at her residence.
Born September 25, 1930 in Woodville GA to the late Raymond and Gertrude Caldwell Traynham, she was a graduate of Palmetto High School and worked as a Spinner for Abney Mills for many years and retired from Torrington.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she formerly worked in the nursery.
Surviving are her daughter, Marlene Loftis Corn and her husband John of Anderson; her grandchildren, Allison Michele Morrison and husband Jon of Belton, and Jonathan Michael Corn and wife Betsy of Anderson; 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 children, Robbie Loftis, Dennis Loftis, and Connie Loftis, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM from Second Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Michael Corn, Jon Morrison, Zach Morrison, Donnie Williams, Wayne Terry, and Tyler Heller.
