Herman Fant, 88, husband of Janie Miller Fant, resident of Fant Road, entered into rest Friday July 21, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on October 25, 1934 in Anderson County to the late Robert and Julie Burnette Fant, he was a retired machine operator.

He was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home, are his children, Danny Fant (Janet), Kenneth Fant (Wendi), Steve Fant all of Belton, Cindi Wilson (Mark) of Anderson; his brother Larry Fant; his sisters, Ruby Miller, Jennette Whitfield, Hazel Spence, and Debbie Brown; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Fant, sisters, Eunice Freeman, Edna Greer, Mable Swansenburg, and Nellie Coleman, a daughter in law, Ann Fant.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. from the Dorchester Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home.
