James Anthony Shaw (Tony), 59, of 406 W Broad St. died March 12, 2022, at Iva Post-Acute Care.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late James Ira Shaw, and Brenda Flemings Blackwell of Greenville. He worked for Electrolux in Special Maintenance.

 He was also an avid sports fan, however, he loved cheering on his Clemson Tigers, Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys.

Surviving is a brother Robert Matthew (Christy) Shaw of Easley, and sister Darlene Shaw (Mike Gault) of Gaffney. He has additional brother and sisters through marriage Brian Blackwell, Sonya Capps, April Blackwell, and Dawn Crosby.

He is preceded in death by an additional father, John Doc Blackwell.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home with Rev Sam Duncan and Rev Earl Green officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the hour of service. The family will be at their respective homes.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
