 James Milton Simmons, 96, resident of Iva Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Belton, died Saturday February 6, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House. 

Born in Belton on August 22, 1924 to the late Raymond and Daisy Branyon Simmons, he was a graduate of Belton High School and of the Baptist Faith. 

Surviving are his cousins, Billy Wright and wife Emily, and E.J. Wright all of Belton, Irene Deason of Abbeville. 

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 from Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. 

The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service. 

Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3207 Hwy. 252 Honea Path, SC 29654.
