Jane Cheatham Hawkins, 76, wife of Dexter M. Hawkins, resident of Hawkins Road, died Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on May 15, 1945 in Belton to the late Woodrow and Gertrude Meeks Cheatham, she was an accountant for many years.
She was a faithful member of Long Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, watching old TV shows, especially Walker Texas Ranger, and being alone so she could make her own decisions.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, of the home, her children, Matt Hawkins of Anderson, Penelope Hawkins Ashley (Jason) of Level Land; her grandchildren, Adyson and Peyton Ashley; her mother-in-law, Clara Hawkins. She was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Cheatham and a sister, Diane Cheatham.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Clarence Adkins and Rev. Wayne Watson officiating.
The family is at the home of her mother-in-law, 400 Rice Cemetery Road.
