Mr. Jerry Anthony Day, 75, husband of Johnnie Jordan Day, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Hospice of Laurens County.
Born July 27,1947 in Greenville County, He was the son of the late Doyle and Margaret Tate Day. He was a retired carpenter and a beloved member of Washington Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed helping with Greenville Meals on Wheels, Hunting and Fishing.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, daughter Kelly (Allen) Tucker of Gray Court and son Clifford (Crystal) King of Belton. 6 grandchildren Tyler Lay (Fiancé Ashlyn), Jordan Tucker, Alexis Robison (Fiancé Brandon), Thomas King, Caroline King, and Charlotte King, and 1 great grandchild Zander Gilbert. 3 brothers Alvin Day, Buster Day, and Larry Day, 3 sisters Catherine Smith, Linda Dunkin, and Ruthie Converse.
He is preceded in death by brother Buddy Day.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 pm from Washington Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Candler and Rev. Terry Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friend prior to service from 11:30 to 1:00.
The family will be at their respective home.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Greenville Meals on Wheels.
