JoAnn Hicks Waters, 77, wife of Roy Milton Waters, resident of Gray Dr., died Friday July 10, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 19, 1943 in Anderson County to the late J.P. and Mildred Ellison Hicks, she married Roy in 1959 and was a Weaver and a Homemaker. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Williamston.
Surviving other than her husband of 61 years, of the home, are her daughters, Regena Wilson and husband Tim of Belton, and Jeanette Carver and husband Doug of Williamston; her grandchildren, Cala Cater whom was raised in the home, Corey Wilson, Cameron Wilson, Carissa Wilson, Douglas Carver, Marlana Foster, Heather Warren, Ryan Carver, James Harvey, Christopher Harvey and Meghan Childress; 12 great grandchildren; her brother Larry Hicks and his wife Judy. She was predeceased by a son, Nathan Powell, a great grandson, Joseph Foster, and her brothers, Junior Hicks, Lawerence Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, and Roy Gene Hicks.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 PM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Graddy officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 the family request masks be worn during the visitation.
