Joe McBrearty Ross

Joe McBrearty Ross, 84, husband of Barbara Brady Ross, was called to his heavenly home, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Rainey House of Anderson.

Born in Pelzer, he was the son of Sara Jane McBrearty Oliver and the late Benjamin Franklin Ross, Jr. He retired from Boilermakers Local 687 Charleston and a member of Pelzer Presbyterian Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, a brother John Robert Ross of TN.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin Franklin Ross, III “Sonny” and William Dendy Ross “Buddy” of Williamston. Never a father or grandfather but he loved all our nieces and nephews as his own. Dendy Lee Ross, Eric Fleming Ross, the late Kim Ross, Terrie Ginn Smith, Tasha Creamer Self, Marshall Todd Creamer, Edward Tracy Creamer; great nieces and nephews Sean Ryan Smith, Shannon Rosanne Smith, Terry Lee Self, Anna Nicole Self, Brittnay Creamer, Tyler Creamer, Madison Creamer, Jackson Ross Creamer.

Graveside service will be held 11am Thursday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Harper and Rev. Brandon Couch officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorials be made to Rainey Hospice House @ 1835 Rogers Rd. Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will be at their respective homes.
