Obituary

Joy Epps Lowry, 53, wife of Michael Eugene Lowry, resident of Gilkenson Road, entered into rest Thursday August 10, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on September 29, 1969 in Anderson to the late Walter “Eugene” and Luvendy Shirley Epps, she was a 1987 graduate of BHP High School.

A member of Second Baptist Church she enjoyed crafting and animals, she was a Veterinarian Assistant for many years.

Surviving other than her husband of 8 years, of the home, are her step children, Kayla Lowry and Michael Lowry both of Honea Path; her sisters, Sandra Eubanks (Patrick) and Alice Epps (Robbie Culler); her grandchildren, Kinzlie Todd of Belton and Leigha Gilstrap of Honea Path.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home.

The family is at the home.
