Joycie (Brock) Cowart

Joycie Brock Cowart, 86, widow of William Robert Cowart, of Belton, died Monday November 13, 2023, at her residence.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late DeWitt and Reese Campbell Brock. She worked for Chiquola Mill until retirement, then she worked as a daycare worker at New Hope Daycare, and she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Surviving are: son, Corey (Janie) Cowart of Williamston; daughters, Donna (Mike) Huskey of Belton, and Pamela (Harold) Getsinger of Belton; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jason, Roy, Ray, Waymon and A.C. Brock, and her sister Gladys Whitt.

Service will be held at 1pm Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobbie Chastain officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 11am until 12:45pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted.

The family will be at the residence.
