SGM Larry Kenneth Damron, U.S. Army (Ret.), 80, widower of the late Karin Ingrid Damron, resident of Toney Creek Rd., died Thursday September 16, 2021 at his residence.
Born on October 21, 1940 in Logan County WV to the late Kenneth and Reba Wooten Damron, he served his country for 30 years in the Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam, while in the Army he earned his GED and his A.A. in History.
He was a member of the Belton Gun Club.
Surviving are his children, Randy Damron (Paula) of Arlington VA, Jon Damron (Teresa) of Woodbridge, VA, Brain Damron ( Petra) of Gaston, SC, Patricia Aguilar of Waterville, KS, Theresa Calmes (Tim) of Belton; his sisters, Susie, Jackie, Janey, Cookie, Candy, and Laura; his brothers, Roger and Kenny; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Danny Damron, a grandson, J.R. Ruiz, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
Larry Kenneth Damron will lay in state Monday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at a later date from Arlington National Cemetery.
