Linda Laverne (Crocker) Buffington

Linda Laverne Crocker Buffington, 83, widow of the late Howard Douglas Buffington, resident of Pinson Farm Road, entered into rest Tuesday April 4, 2023 at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Born on November 17, 1939 in Anderson to the late Robert and Carrulla Jones Crocker, she was a homemaker. She loved canning vegetables and baking.

She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Steven Douglas Buffington, Jerry Lee Buffington, Mark Edward Buffington and wife Reide, all of Belton; her sister, Martha Crocker Black of Iva; her brother, Doug Crocker and wife Fredna of Anderson; her grandchildren, Jacklind Buffington Sheppard and husband Chase, Brody Markus Buffington and wife Jordan, Jarred Douglas Buffington, Bryant McGill Buffington, and Jake Marshall Buffington; 4 great grandchildren, Berkley, Blaire, Tate, and Riley. She was predeceased by her brothers, David L. Crocker, Melvin E. Crocker, and Larry E. Crocker.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM from Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Brody Buffington, Jarred Buffington, Jake Buffington, Chase Sheppard, Andy King, and Johnny Ellison.

The family is at the home of Mark and Reide Buffington.
