Linda Clayton Compton, 66, wife of Max Eugene Compton Jr., resident of Reedy Fork Rd, died Monday, December 20, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 24, 1955 in Fountain Inn to Frances Clayton and the late James Clayton. She was a high school graduate and retired from Greenville County Schools.

She was a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church.

Surviving other than her husband, of the home, are Christine (Christopher) Wolfenburger, two sisters, one brother, and two grandchildren, Zackary and Taylor Wolfenburger.

Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date.

Cox Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
