Marshall Ray “Rooster” Hanvey, 25, resident of Holmes St. entered into rest Sunday May 21, 2023 in Anderson.

Born on July 16, 1997 to Shelia Moberly Smith and the late Michael Dwain Hanvey, he worked for Michelin North America. He loved hanging with his friends, playing video games and watching wrestling.

Surviving is his mother, Sheila Smith and fiancé Mark Shoemaker of KY; his sister, Amanda Grace Hanvey and fiancé Jordan Smith of GA; his paternal grandmother, Juanita Hanvey of Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Marshall Edward Hanvey, and his maternal grandparents.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
