Easley
Mildred Virginia Howard, 79, widow of the late Jack Howard, resident of Pelzer Hwy., died Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born on July 17, 1942 in Childersburg, AL to the late James Clyde and Mondra Bramlett Townsend. She was an Administrative Assistant for many years at Clemson University. She has written 12 Children’s books.
She was a member of The Mill Church.
Surviving are her children, Jonathan Howard and wife Joni of Dacusville, Jessica Howard of the home, and Morgan Howard-Penland and wife Liz of Kingston, PA; 2 grandchildren; her sisters, Jo Thompson and husband Ken of FL, and Helen Townsend of Anderson.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM from The Mill Church with Rev. Bryan Holder officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Garden of Memories.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
