Olene Whitfield Burton, 87, wife of Charles Lee Burton, resident of Lucuis Ave., died Saturday April 3, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 28, 1933 in Homer GA to the late Guy and Zadie Willis Whitfield, she was a Machine Operator in Textiles for many years, she enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard and gardening.
She was a member of Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving other than her husband of 69 years, of the home, are her daughter, Patti Davidson and husband Greg of Belton; her grandchildren, Jason (Missy) Langston, Corey (Holly) Langston, Kristen (Nick) Langston; 11 great grandchildren; her brothers, Bobby (Janice) Whitfield, and Bronson Whitfield; her sister, Francine Harper; special friends, Patsy Dutton, William and Doris Bratcher. She was predeceased by a son, Perry Burton, 3 brothers, RS, David, and Billy Joe Whitfield, 1 sister Imogene McCoy.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the Garden of Memories with Rev. Dennis Barton, Rev. Tony Smith, and Rev. Randy Goff officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home.
