Ollie L. Hogg Pitts, 84, resident of Park Rd., died Thursday January 7, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born May 2, 1936 in Anderson County to the late Joe and Clara Stowe Fields, she was a pastor’s wife and worked for the Blanket Corporation in Belton. She was twice married, first to the late Lester Leon Hogg, then to the late Rev. Ralph Pitts.
She was a member of the Belton Church of God and was a Sunday School Teacher for 40 plus years. Ollie was also active with Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her children, Richard Leon Hogg (Janice), Rhoda Hogg Haskins (Kevin) all of Anderson, and Lynn Hogg Lloyd (Randy) of Belton; her step children, Winford Pitts of GA, Dale Pitts (Ramona) of Williamston, Janice Barrett (Lloyd) of Anderson, and Leland Pitts (Jan) of Starr-Iva; her sisters, Josie Knight of Williamston, and Rebecca Brown (Joe) of Anderson; her brother, Ira Fields (Ann) of Belton; her grandchildren, Kendra Hogg, Logan Hogg, Misty Powell, Crystal Ford, and Dusty Lloyd; 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Brown, and her brother, James Fields.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from Belton Church of God with Rev. Norman Black officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing is required.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the church prior to the service.
