Peggy Ann (Swinburne) Brooks

Peggy Ann Swinburne Brooks, 84, wife of Max Leroy Brooks, resident of Mahaffey St., entered into rest Wednesday May 17, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 30, 1939 in Pataskala, Licking County OH to the late George “Deacon” and Vergie Morton Swinburne, she graduated high school and was a retired floral manager.

She loved children and was a former Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America, she also enjoyed playing the old hymns on the piano.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving other than her husband of 64 years, of the home, are her children, Robert Edwin Brooks and wife Valerie of Belton, Jeffery Alan Brooks and wife Beth of Honea Path, Daniel Lee Brooks and wife Michelle of Williamston, and Michael George Brooks and wife Lisa of Honea Path; her grandchildren, Alex Brooks, Svetlana Brooks, Martin Ford and wife Niya, Matthew Brooks and wife Kendall, Sidney Brooks, Avery Brooks, Benjamin Brooks, and Carson Brooks; 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 1 sister.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday May 25th at 11:00 AM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Shuler officiating.
