Rebecca Long Kitchens, 85, widow of the late J. Logan Kitchens, died Thursday December 12, 2019 at Magnolia Manor in Greenwood.
Born June 9, 1934 in Oconee County to the late Riley Oliver, Sr. and Reba Finley Long, she graduated from Honea Path High School and the Old Greenville General Hospital Nursing School. A life long Registered Nurse, she retired from Gracewood Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Rebecca was a member of Trinity on the Hill Church in Augusta, Ga.
Surviving are her daughters, Amanda Small and husband Bryan, and Jana Hill, all of Augusta, Ga.; her grandchildren, Tanner Small, Kaden Small, Brooks Small, Curt Hill (Heather), all of Augusta, Ga., and Carrie Coleman (Mark), of Spartanburg; her great grandchildren, Austin Hill, Thomas Coleman, and Eleanor Coleman; her sister, Margaret McCuen (Wallace) of Honea Path; her brothers, Roy Long (Carolyn) of Honea Path, Riley Long, Jr. (Marlene) and Billy Ray Long (Mickie) all of Hickory Tavern. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Clarence Long and James Bradley Long.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Private entombment will take place at a later time at Garden of Memories.
The family is at their respective homes.
