Richard Hayward Parnell, 71, resident of Joe Bell Rd., died Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 20, 1950 in Anderson to the late J.C. “Dick” and Elizabeth Straka Parnell, he was a high school graduate and worked many years for BB&T Leasing.

Surviving are his son, Jason Parnell and his fiancé Elizabeth Beeks of Belton, his grandchildren, Madison, Jayden, Noah, Jayce, Emberlyn, and Bennett Parnell; his brothers, Randy Parnell, Joe Parnell and Tom Parnell.

Graveside services will be conducted 4pm Monday December 27^th at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Dale Phillips officiating.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Richards former wife, Vickie Branyon for taking care of him for the past 10 years.

Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd. Anderson, SC 29621.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service.
