Ruth Joanne Owen McCutcheon, 80, of 2200 Harden St. Columbia, died January 27, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born in Belton SC, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Cannon and Ruth Johnson Owen. She attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Belton. She was a retired grade schoolteacher in Anderson and Columbia for many years.

Surviving is one son, John McCutcheon of Winnsboro, and one daughter, Ruth Camille McCutcheon of Spartanburg. She was proceeded in death by husband Ray Carlton McCutcheon and brother Wade C. Owen.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories with son John McCutcheon officiating.
