Ruth Anne (Wilson) Norris

Ruth Anne Wilson Norris, 85, widow of the late William Henry Norris, former resident of Belton, entered into rest Friday February 17, 2023 at Summit Place in Anderson.

Born on August 17, 1937 in Williamston to the late Francis and Ruth Profitt Wilson, she was a graduate of Palmetto High School and also received her B.A. from Furman University. She was a homemaker, a reading aide for Anderson School District 2, and a tour guide in Old Salem in Winston-Salem, NC for over 15 years.

A faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, she sang in the church choir, was very active in the WMU, taught Sunday School, and served on numerous committees.

Surviving are her children, Andrew Norris (Simone Wilson) of Pendleton, Mark Norris and Anita Norris (Jimmy Duncan) all of Belton; her sister, Sue King of Raleigh, NC. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Webb and a brother, Johnny Wilson.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM from Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Fousek and Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary.

The family is at their respective homes.
