Sarah Faith Bruce Timms, 99, widow of the late Clyde Phillip Timms, resident of Hiawatha Drive, entered into rest Tuesday October 3, 2023 at the residence of her son, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 17, 1924 in Gumlog GA to the late Andrew Morris and Mary Etta Roe Burce, she worked in the Purchasing Department of Anderson County for many years.
A member of First Baptist Belton, she was the oldest living member of the church.
Surviving is a son, David P Timms of Belton; her grandson, Jamie Timms and wife Amber of Belton, her great grandchildren, Eli, Emory, Ryder Timms, and Jesse Byrum; her nephew, John Morris Hawkins and wife Maxine of NC; her niece, Patti Lusk and husband Scott of Belton. She was predeceased by a brother that was killed in WWII, David Sloan Bruce, two sisters, Reba Bruce and Georgie Hawkins.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. from the Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Nick Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home.
