Belton
Shirley Jean Gambrell Kelly, 72, widow of the George Wilford Kelly, of 208 Murphy Road Belton, went to be with her Heavenly Father in the morning hours of Friday, June 17, 2022 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
She was born January 20, 1950 in Anderson County to the late Otis Allen and Mary Belle Lollis Gambrell. She was a faithful member of Cross Hill Church of God.
Surviving are her daughters; Sandra Jean Sosebee(Bill) of Belton, and Brenda Ann Williams(Justin Klinegardner) of Chapin; her grandchildren, Samantha Marie Sosebee of Belton, Sabrina Kelly Williams(Stephen) of Columbia, and Julie Renea Prince(Dylan) of West Columbia; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Stephen Jr., Abigail Williams, and Raylan Prince; her sisters Betty Cowart of Honea Path, Mildred Alewine and Judy Kelly(Joe) both of Belton; brothers, Leroy Gambrell(Beth) of Honea Path, and Harold Gambrell of Williamston.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, George Wilford; two sisters, Ruth Motes, and Cecil Gambrell; and two brothers, Bill Gambrell and James Gambrell.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00PM from Cross Hill Church of God with Rev. Larry Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
The family is at their respected homes and will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Cox Funeral Home.
The remains will be placed in the Church at 1:00PM Thursday.
Flowers are accepted, however memorials may be made to the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
